How Delta Tote Came About

I’ve always liked traditional hunting gear. The kind made from leather and brass that looks better the more you use it. But a lot of that gear comes with a pretty high price tag, and traditional leather bird drops have their drawbacks.

Over time, leather drops can dry out and get stiff, and they don’t always cinch down tight on smaller birds. After getting back to the truck more than once and realizing a teal or wood duck was missing because a drop didn’t tighten down enough around its leg, I started thinking there had to be a better way to do it.

That’s where Delta Tote came from.

I wanted to build a bird tote that kept the heritage look and feel I like, but fixed the part that frustrated me. Delta Tote combines a heavy leather shoulder strap and antique-style hardware with modern cable drops that cinch down securely on birds of different sizes. From dove and teal all the way up to mallards and geese.

The modular design also means you can carry only the capacity you need and add more modules when you need them.

Every Delta Tote is handmade in Mississippi in small batches with a focus on simple design, dependable function, and gear that looks like it belongs in a duck camp.

Traditional where it should be. Modern where it matters.
